Excerpt: 9:00 AM Off to Saturday’s Bounce Ya Brass class at City Park by (Robin’s) fitness company Move Ya Brass. It’s my time to get up and dance! I created the Move Ya Brass movement to be a fun and positive fitness experience that embraces New Orleans culture. As a musician, it’s so important to me that we use New Orleans music in our classes! We want to take people off the sideline and into the second line with us, from our running group every Monday to a variety of fitness class offerings throughout the week such as Bounce Ya Brass, Twerk Ya Brass, and Stretch Ya Brass. Our weekly community classes are free, thanks to our non-profit Make Your Move and our many supportive partners.

Move Ya Brass also offers private fitness classes for events and bachelorette parties. We love working with our clients to create a special New Orleans fitness experience, whether they be local or visiting from out of town! A portion of proceeds from private classes is given back to Make Your Move to continue funding our free community classes.

Thomas Nguyen

A Native New Orleanian, Thomas joined the Move Ya Brass Krewe in the second week of its inception and has helped the group with its administrative functions ever since.  Thomas’ drive to exercise stemmed from his own battle with Type-2 Diabetes, which drove him to run more and participate in many races & half marathons throughout the city.
